Mentos with Diet Coke vs Normal Coke experiement + slo-mo videos - 2026-07-08

Process:

1. Three pieces of regular Mentos were placed in a 2L Classic (Normal) Coca-Cola plastic bottle.

2. Three pieces of regular Mentos were placed in a 2L Diet Coca-Cola plastic bottle.

The reaction of the Diet Coca-Cola managed to go higher, and was more violent, than the Original Coca-Cola. See the comparison image below of both of the reactions at their highest points:

Note: In the comparison image above, the Diet Coke is actually further away from the camera than the Normal Coke, meaning the Diet Coke's eruption is taller than how it looks in the above image.
