Disc Durability Test - 19/04/2025

I have conducted a durability test between these 3 discs filled with data:

CD:

Burned at speed of 40x.

DVD:

Burned at speed of 16x.

Bluray:

Burned at speed of 4x.

Test 1 - Drop Test:

All 3 discs worked fine. They survived.

Test 2 - Water Test:

The top (white) layer of the cd came off a bit. Inkjet printable discs will become more moist than normal discs. All discs were readable in the end.

Test 3 - "Fire" Test:

To simulate a fire, I will be placing the discs inside a sandwich-press for about 10 seconds. The sandwich press was heated to about 200 degrees celcius. The discs were then placed inside, and then the sandwich press was closed for about 10 seconds, before removing the discs.
